New Start


Hey y'all!
Welcome to CarpeTheSangria!!! Let's hope this goes smoothly :)
As I sit here, pondering the 3rd time I've really tried to start this blog. Sad? No. Persistent?  Yes. :) I want to do it differently. Instead of approaching this as a make-it or break-it fitness journey to 135 pounds, I'm going to take the MamaLaughlin approach. This is my journey, and I'm not perfect, but I'm one hell-of-a fun girl.
I think the hardest thing for me in my journey to 135 is just being 20-something. It's hard to say no to going out to eat or out on the town. I know that doesn't have to ruin my diet, but I won't lie--it does. I cannot say no to fried food or a good burger. When a friend orders french fries I either go along with it, or I steal half of hers...okay, okay,  it's usually my boyfriend's plate that I steal but whatever. It's a sad scene actually....Thank goodness he loves me. This is my first goal I want to achieve. I WILL follow through with my plan of eating clean! My first challenge isn't far away--I'm out on a business trip this week for 4 days and 3 nights.  Tips are greatly appreciated :)
Tomorrow morning I'm trying  a new healthy Mango Lassi Smoothie Recipe...if all goes well, I'll be posting the recipe here!
