Most Expensive Weekend of My Life!

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday night :) I hope your weekends were great! Let me give you the rundown of what I did...

Friday night I posted about my mishap with my computer, and how I decided wine was the perfect solution. I also thought friends were a great distraction...so we ventured downtown for an exciting night of bar-hopping.

One of my best friends in the city, Kelly! Not the random boy.
On Saturday my boyfriend and I decided it was time to start couch shopping! We move at the end of the month to a much bigger, cleaner, newer place that I'm so excited about!! The new, grown up apartment deserves a better couch than the free one from Penn State we inherited. Here's  a breakdown of what we looked at....

This one had tons of space for "spooning." Very high on my priority list!

So much space for entertaining friends!

This one was extra long. Positive for tall people!

This felt like quality furniture that would last forever.

..but the winner is:

So comfortable! The ottoman makes the couch seem bigger too!

We got such a good deal at 35% off and decided to also buy the ottoman that matched because it can store the millions of blankets we have (cause seriously, Wisconsin is freakin' cold!). Hope you enjoyed the pictures of my boyfriend...he'll be pissed that he's in all of them. :)

My final investment for weekend...a new computer!! After weighing the pros and cons I decided to just do it. My screen would cost at least $100 to replace and it was pretty old. What did I get? The Microsoft Surface Tablet! Yes, the one with all the dancing in the commercials and girl scouts. It runs Windows, so I can have Word, Excel, and Powerpoint at my fingertips. I can also take it everywhere!! It clips in and out of the keyboard so easily. No more worrying about blog reading on my work computer, I can just do it on my tablet! YAY!

So there you have it. The most expensive weekend of my life!

Have a good Monday morning!

  1. So exciting...my hubby and I are actually going bedroom furniture shopping tonight! I can't even control how excited I am. Our mismatched hand me down stuff has been driving me bonkers lately.

    1. Glad I'm not the only one who hates the mismatch! Its amazing the deals you can get if you just shop around, that's my advice! And pictures, the more you make your husband pose for them the "funner" it will be haha. Hope it goes well!!
